78.8% of Lewis County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 16,966 citizens living in Lewis County in 2021, 78.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 13,373 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 6,629 were male, constituting 49.6%, and 6,744 were female, making up 50.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Lewis County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79.7%.
