On Friday, March 7, former Lewis County High School standout Grant Mealey’s current college team, the Davis & Elkins Senators, lost 5-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Shorter Hawks.

The game took place at Chain of Lakes Field. This was their first matchup against the Hawks this season.

The Senators’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at Chain of Lakes Field against Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles.
