Of the 261 people living in Flatwoods in 2019, 44.4 percent (116) were women and 55.6 percent (145) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the WV Heartland News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 88-to-81. In the 65 and over age range, there were 16 females and 20 males.
