Census Bureau: 79.1% of people in Roane County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 14,129 citizens living in Roane County in 2021, 79.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 11,174 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 5,541 were male, constituting 49.6%, and 5,633 were female, making up 50.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Roane County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79.7%.
