7.7% of Nicholas County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Nicholas County recorded an unemployment rate of 7.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 756 people out of the 24,770 living in Nicholas County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Nicholas County has decreased compared to the 8.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Nicholas County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.4%.
